TCP Announces ARRA Qualified Fixtures - 11/12/2010
A recent clarification of guidelines by the Department of Energy has enabled Technical Consumer Products, Inc. to conclude that our fixture products qualify for projects funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA).
In a May 24 letter regarding Guidance on Manufactured Goods and Substantial Transformation for Financial Assistance Awards, U.S. Department of Energy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Cathy Zoi essentially concludes that to satisfy the “produced in the United States” requirement, the materials in manufactured goods must undergo a substantial transformation in the United States. The guidance letter further provides a decision tree to help determine whether a substantial transformation has occurred.
TCP proudly assembles our fixture products in our Aurora, OH facility. Careful evaluation of the criteria in the guidance letter reveals that our assembly process is clearly a substantial transformation, clearly meeting the ARRA requirement that the fixture be produced in the United States. We are pleased to offer these quality products for your all your lighting needs, including projects that require ARRA qualification.
